| A remake of the 1984 film of the same name which starred Kevin Bacon, this version is good on dance but slow on story development. Kenny Wormald and Julianne Hough star as the teenagers who are rebelling against the ban on dancing in this small southern town. Dennis Quaid is the believable preacher who “just wants to protect the children” and keep them safe. Watch it for the dancing – it is truly remarkable - but don’t go for the story; it’s pretty pedestrian.
