| I didn't have high expectations, so perhaps that is why I enjoyed the film so much. Nicolas Cage hasn't impressed me in his last few outings, so I didn't know what to expect. All the Better! Disney should do well with this interesting “remake” of its 1940 animated hit. Just enough bad guys (and girls), car chases,evil spells and excitement to keep you laughing, at the edge of your seat. Fun for everyone in the family old enough to sit still for 2 hours. | I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much for this for a couple of reasons. The biggest one is that it stars Nicolas Cage . It has been a very long time since I have enjoyed him so well in a movie.(although he is pretty funny in Kick-Ass) The second reason is how could Disney ever re-make one of my favorite childhood movies (Fantasia) so that I would enjoy it as much? Well, they did and it is a true delight. Full of surprises, lots of action and even a little of the original story is put together to bring a family event to the big screen. Oh, leave the little ones at home; for them, rent the original. This will be a bit over their heads.
