Of course those who know the work of Director Atom Egoyan will not be surprised at the explicit scenes which push the limit of the R rating. Starring Liam Neeson, Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried, this remake of the French Film “Nathalie” tells the story of a jealous wife's attempts to trap her husband in an affair, leading to dire consequences for the entire family. | Well, this certainly took me by surprise. Having not read anything about the film before screening it, I was fully expecting a nice little “drama” given the movie was starring Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson. Boy was I taken aback by the explicit sex on screen. On the other hand, I was disappointed to find the film itself slow to unwind ; still the acting was better than the screen play would permit. However, I'd be careful with whom I watched this as it could be a bit embarrassing. Sorry if I sound prudish but I do believe it may have been wrongly rated by the powers that be.
