| Andy Garcia steals the show as a “correctional officer” born and raised on City Island, the unique blue-collar community within sight of the Manhattan skyline. The screenplay provides a window into the family life like no other, but similar to everyone's. Husband, wife and two teenagers bring us joy, sorrow and drama. Ezra Miller as the teenage son prone to state the bold truth whets our appetite for more from him.
It is as much a comedy as drama, with shades of “All in the Family”. | Picture this: A family of 4 that lives together (2 teenagers, 2 parents) doesn't have the first clue about each other's lives. In other words, lots of secrets hiding amongst the family members. Add a wonderful cast i.e. Andy Garcia, Julianna Margulies, Steven Straight and you end up with a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours in the theater. If you are old enough to get into the theater you are going to like this one.
