A real "chick-flick"; or in other words, a movie almost exclusively directed to an audience that would appreciate relationships and their complications. Moreover, this is the first movie in recent memory where Meryl Streep has a so-so role; in a so-so movie. Nothing stands out in the film, there's little surprise, little action, and just a fair amount of comedy. The movie is better watched on TV, when there's nothing better to do.

It’s Complicated (Rated: R) Comedy Carol: Wait for the Video There’s lots of fun going on in this film. It would be great fun to pop some corn, open a bottle of wine and have a good old fashioned “sleepover” to watch the video with a bunch of your girlfriends. It is a bit of a chick-flick after all. Oh, and by the way, this just proves that Meryl Streep is aging way better than Alec Baldwin.
