| I wasn’t really looking forward to seeing this – I mean except for disaster movies (see my review of 2012) what story is more repeated, version after version. So, I went for the “3D experience”.
Boy was I wrong (and Carol was right again!). This version is destined to become a classic, like many other Disney movies; dare I say as popular and timeless as The Wizard of Oz.
Go, see for yourself. And try to see it in 3D; it costs “a lot” more, but worth the experience.
| Fantastic! The geniuses at the Disney Studios have taken the timeless Charles Dickens Christmas story and transformed it into a Digital 3D extravaganza. What a wonderful way to kick off the Holiday Season . I would say that the Digital 3D added a dimension to the story that pulls you, the viewer, into the action. While you are sitting in your seat, it starts to “snow” and then “rain”. Probably not necessary to spend the extra for the 3D experience but it is a hoot! But be warned: this is not for the very young child. Very scary things go on in this tale and with animation and 3D it is taken to new heights. |
