The film is entertaining and inspiring, especially for the young. Hilary Swank gives an exceptional performance making Amelia Earhart’s daring and obsession come to life. Combine this powerful performance with great cinematography and an impassioned script and this bio-pic becomes one of the best in recent memory.
Any father would like to watch this movie with his daughter,and encourage her to emulate the determination and zeal portrayed by Swank on screen.
| Hilary Swank has absolutely nailed the role of Amelia Earhart. Even if every word isn’t exactly right in the script, they were for me. My emotions rose with hers into the air and fell when disaster struck. A remarkable performance and hopefully an Oscar nomination is “in the wind” for her. Sadly, Richard Gere was Richard Gere. His role was so overshadowed by Swank’s, that he never had a chance to fly. But do see this and take your daughter, Mom, Granddaughter – they will each be inspired by 2 remarkable women (Hilary Swank and Amelia Earhart)!
