| An interesting, if not disconcerting, documentary recounting the events surrounding a 27 year old Norwegian’s sudden and total loss of memory. The viewer joins the subject on a train in China, his first memory of his new beginning. Through twists and turns he tracks down his previous life and “experiences” his past-life, without ever regaining memory. The filmmakers attempt to make something of the phenomena, resulting in a moving and frightening documentary that tries to explain the event. At the same time we get a glimpse of the difficulties of a young man suddenly alive without identity, vocabulary or family
| This is the true story of a young man who loses his entire memory while travelling alone on a train in China. His journey of recreating his memory is the subject of this documentary; some of which is recreated and some is filmed first hand. The cinematography is gorgeous – remember he is in China! It is almost a shame that the viewer will probably need to read the subtitles and miss some of the incredible scenery.
