| Hard drama, but entertaining. Excellent use of casting, including Kim Basinger and Charlize Theron. Theron is making her mark as a serious actress, especially in the role of complex women. The young Jennifer Lawrence almost steals the show.

| A “fractured timeline” has the viewer on edge for a good part of the film. Once it is clear what is happening, the story moves rather slowly and is fairly predictable. The star power of Charlize Theron and Kim Basinger helps to keep you in your seat but it is really not enough.
