| What a surprise! I don’t know what I expected – but not a film as entertaining as this was. For any music lover, a fun ride. For the R&B and Rock and Roll historian, what a treat. Great performances by Adrien Brody and Jeffrey Wright, as Leonard Chess and Muddy Waters respectively, help make this a good movie.
| What a surprise. This is based on the true story of the emerging of Rock and Roll and the “crossing over” of black singers to the top of the pop charts countrywide. This is an entertaining combination of musical performance and dramatic portrayal with a cast that is certainly up to the task.
