| In the same vein as An Inconvenient Truth, though the focus of this film is water, rather than global warming – although both are related. A well done documentary, four years in the making that reveals the surprising connections-good or bad, your decision – between the World Bank and the three largest international water companies. The film also makes us question the good, bad and ugliness of bottled water, reservoirs and damns.
Screed at Sarasota Film Festival 2008
| Just as Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth brings the terrifying reality of global warming to the screen, this stunning documentary explores the world’s problems regarding clean water and privatization. It is likely that any number of documentaries can be made concerning our natural resources but filmmaker Irena Salina has done an outstanding, thorough job bringing this uncomfortable problem to our consciousness. After viewing it at the Sarasota Film Festival 2008 I’m inclined to boycott several well-known US companies for their disregard of the world’s water.
