| Loosely based on Breakfast At Tiffany’s, this subtitled French film lacks a great theme song (a la “Moon River”) and the chemistry of George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn. The French stars, Audrey Tautau and Gad Elmalch carry the film, though its length makes it a chore. Good for a rainy afternoon or a ladies weekend.
Screened at Sarasota Film Festival, 2008
| This French subtitled film, screened at the Sarasota Film Festival in 2008, is a re-tooling of Breakfast At Tiffany’s. It is a sweet but dated film that is worth seeing for the clothing worn by Audrey Tautau. It is funny enough to evoke out loud laughter from the audience but way too long. Cut about 20 minutes and it would feel much better. If you have to choose one, chose the original.
