| An unabashed frontal assault on the life style of the newly rich and famous –especially those living on “the Upper East Side” of New York.
Most of us would like to believe that the penthouse set have children and then abandon them to their “Nannies”. If this film is even half true, shame on them. But having neither the social standing, money or inclination to socialize with such, I have no basis to evaluate the film’s credibility.
As entertainment, the film pushes the right buttons at the right time so as to engage the audience and earn our sympathy. Somehow the film feels like a romantic comedy – without the romance. Should be a required viewing for the expectant parents of a first child.
| Based on the novel of the same title, this “cutesy” film purports to tell the story of a Manhattan Nanny’s life. It is predictable and a bit too long but it is believable. Interesting but the book is better.
