| An excellent action film. Sure, the plot is familiar: retired government super-agent is recalled for one more mission; next thing you know it’s him against the entire corrupt government infra-structure. But I’m enough of an individualist to like this scenario and can suspend disbelief long enough to enjoy seeing one guy beat up on hordes of “badies”.
If you liked Fist Full of Dollars, or Die Hard you’ll like this. Let’s just hope “Markie-Mark” doesn’t do sequel after sequel; I think he’s talented enough to take on more substantive roles

This is a sit on the edge of your seat and get ready for the action film. A very good storyline about a very patriotic ex-soldier is a wonderful vehicle for the very talented Mark Wahlberg. There is a problem here – we have to hope that Wahlberg doesn’t allow himself to be type-cast into the Shooter character as he has the talent to grow from here. A better Bruce Willis perhaps?
