| An excellent performance by Peter O’Toole saves this otherwise pedestrian British film from becoming too tedious.
Dry humor about the aging male ego.
| Peter O’Toole is still amazing! And for that reason alone this is a must see now event. The story is simple – a couple of old men come to the end of their lives or so you would think. Enter a young woman Jodie Whittaker, into their midst and suddenly the sun comes up differently each day. O’Toole gives an award winning performance that gathered a best Oscar nomination for him. Hopefully, this time he will win as we have to wonder just how much more this man has in him! Whittaker has made the jump from TV to the big screen easily. She plays her role well and is fun to watch. A fun, poignant film that you are sure to enjoy.
