| A rather dull, non-sensical movie. I guess this happens when you take a comedian (Will Farrell), mix him with an excellent dramatic artist (Emma Thompson) and try to create a dramatic comedy. Nothing works - even Queen Latifah seems out of her element - and the film just languishes, waiting for something to happen. Oh, Dustin Hoffman can’t help either. | Here I have to “start” with the ending. This could have been so much better with a more creative conclusion. And it was oh so simple to achieve. Hollywood’s effort to “keep the audience happy” is mis-placed here. So, you have to stay with it to the end to see if you agree with me. Otherwise, it is long, not very interesting, and definitely not particularly well-acted. The brightest spot on the screen is Emma Thompson. She, and she alone, is worth the price of a rental.
